12 Months Of Giving: National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

HotMovies has announced the launch of a 12-month program of charitable donations which we’re calling “12 Months of Giving.” Each month for 2018 we will select a different charity to receive a donation, the amount of which will be based on a percentage of gross sales for that month.

The recent death of August Ames and many other women in the industry over the last few months forced all of us in the adult entertainment business to reflect and come together to discuss topics such as bullying, depression, and substance abuse. Like in many other creative spaces, these issues plague our industry and everyone must do their part, no matter how big or small, to help get to a place where stars feel comfortable and safe speaking up and reaching out for help. With that in mind, we will continue our “12 Months of Giving” program by donating a percentage of our March sales to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, a national network of local crisis centers that people can call or visit for free and confidential emotional support. With a commitment to providing better personal crisis services and suicide prevention methods for all walks of life, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline caters to everyone from attempt survivors, veterans, the disabled, the LGBTQ community, and disaster survivors.

The remainder of the charity selections have not been finalized, and we want to remain open to suggestions from subscribers and the public. Those with suggestions for a charity we should consider may send an email to suggestions@hotmovies.com.
