As head lesbian in charge (aka Captain Crunch), I recognize the importance of correctly defining terminology, and I also recognize that shit can get a little confusing for you cisgendered folks. Hell, even I was confused by LGBTTQQIAP the first time I came across that wiki page. So for Pride month, we’re going to start clearing things up a bit, and what better way to start than with genderqueer?! Most people know, or think they know, what the terms lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual mean, but genderqueer is often left up to misinterpretations, and today we aim to change that. First though, here’s a quick reminder of how to get to our Sex & Porn Glossary from any page. Access the Help drop-down menu, located in the top right, from any screen, and you’ll see the glossary option.
Genderqueer is a term used to describe people who don’t identify as exclusively masculine or feminine. Those who identify as genderqueer may identify as having no gender, having a fluctuating gender (genderfluid), or as having two or more genders (non-binary). It’s important to remember that gender identity is separate from sexual orientation (sex/gender that a person is sexually and romantically attracted to), as queer people have a variety of sexual orientations, just as trans and cicgendered people do. It’s also key to understand that genderqueer is an umbrella term that encompasses many different identities. Some people, like myself, may identify as a masculine woman, whereas a genderfluid person may express multiple genders at the same time, while an agendered person identifies as being without a gender.
Genderqueer porn still isn’t as vast as straight and gay porn, however it’s steadily growing and we have lots of studios for you to explore. Pink & White Productions, TROUBLE Films, Reel Queer Productions, and Kennston Productions are four of my all-time favorite queer studios, and I suggest you take some time to check them out. I think many of you will be happily surprised with what you find, especially in terms of sex that turns you on. There’s nothing better than watching people completely comfortable with who they are express who they are sexually. The authenticity and sense of security mixed with the vulnerability of sharing one’s body with another in front of a camera for people all over the world to view is incredibly sexy to me! One of my all-time favorite queer movies is Tight Places – A Drop Of Color, directed by Nenna. The first clip is most popular on HotMovies and I agree with our viewers. Brooklyn Skyy and Vai have great chemistry and the fucking is perfect! If you’re new to genderqueer porn, starting here is definitely a good idea.
