The Indie Spotlight: Evolved Fights

Most fans will come unto the HotMovies page and find that what separates this company from almost any other VOD site on the web is a collection of scenes and films that is nearly unmatched in the adult entertainment world. That is… if you dare to look deep enough. What makes this special to an industry writer such as myself is that HotMovies gives fans an opportunity to follow their sexual evolution wherever that may take them, no matter how bold or beautiful it may be. The excitement of discovering who and what your sexuality is, that is part of the true wonder of what the XXX world really is at its core. At least that was my beginning with porn and what I discovered years ago—porn offers something I think few places can in the entire world of entertainment, a sanctuary where people can be themselves no matter who they are and what they enjoy. My tastes were a tad different back then when it came to what it is that made me curious when I first discovered porn. Being a lifelong romantic with a deep-seeded passion for the opposite sex, I found my way to girl/girl cinema. By fate, it would seem, this led me to the first performer I ever dated when I began working in the adult film industry years later. Now, what most people do not know is that dating a sex worker will cause your mind to become altered in many positive, life-changing ways forever. That is where this month’s column begins. This Indie Spotlight shines upon a location that I myself never even knew existed until I met one of the great loves of my life who just happened to be an adult film actress. It is a side of XXX that has always been referred to as the “fetish” side, and this company we showcase within this wonderful realm is one that deals in sex, wrestling, and whole lot more.

Evolved Fights, run by industry superstar Ariel X, is a studio that I thought would be able to convey to the masses what fetish really is. Dating a porn star actually led me to meet Ariel X a few years ago. My girl had longed to always work for her company, and when it came time that they were going to work on a side project together, I gave Ariel a buzz. After getting to speak with this amazing woman, whose passion back then for this company shined in everything she did, I knew that there was something more to watching people wrestle… at least that is what it looked like to me on the surface. What I soon discovered was that this company and these productions were far more than meets the eye. Industry friends and performers would constantly ask me if I had seen their work with Ariel. Performers went out of their way to tell me that this was the company that they loved working for most, and that Ariel X was a person they wanted to work with again and again and again. This intrigued me in ways that I did not fully understand as I do now. How was this company that basically had people rolling around on the ground catching the eyes and hearts of porn superstars like Dee Williams and Charlotte Sartre? I began to learn that what Ariel was creating was something that took sex to a level I never even knew was within myself, or the woman that I loved so very dearly who dreamt of working for Ariel one day. This promo work Ariel and I were doing soon became something even more massive than just knowledge from a performer I was gaining.

Fans should know that Evolved Fights is more than a title for a company. To many, it is who and what Ariel X represents in the adult film world. What this studio basically creates is a scene where people compete in a wrestling match to which the winner gets all the spoils: a reward to have sex with the loser in any fashion the winner of the fight so desires. There may be dominance, there may be submission! Hell, there may even be role-reversals and toys that you never thought would or could turn you on. That is Evolved Fights on paper. Most fans would say what it is beneath the surface is an evolution of the body, mind, and soul. Ariel told me once that what she enjoyed most about what she did with her company was seeing something evolve within the people that she worked with and that made me want to sit down with Ariel to learn more, which is exactly what we did on an early Tuesday morning in August so that HotMovies could get that deeper look at Evolved Fights for the fans. What I discovered that day is that Ariel is a performer who lives her brand through and through. She trains, she rises early in the morning, and puts in the work with everything that you would expect comes with being a true fighter who wants to win in every fight they take part in. This isn’t something that is just here to make money for Ariel, oh no; this is a part of who she is as a woman, a lover, a fighter, an athlete, and a sex-positive porn star. Her love for HotMovies.com was something that reflected who both of these entities are.

“I love HotMovies. They have always been so wonderful to me. They are also one of the most positive voices in the industry. They are there for us performers and have these amazing promotions that give me and my fans a voice.”

Ariel X for Evolved Fights

We spoke in depth about what she had seen since she created Evolved Fights, and she spoke about evolution and getting to see her fellow porn stars find who they are. The scene with now-married couple Lance Hart and Charlotte Sartre was something we talked about in depth. Ariel spoke about how special it was to watch this couple learn things about one another during the filming of this scene and the work they were all a part of. The aspect of this conversation I can still remember, weeks after our conversation, was the tale of how Charlotte learned that she enjoyed being dominant a bit more and evolving with her now-husband in ways that are powerful enough to make a porn couple’s love life—and love for one another—that much more powerful. As Ariel has shown me these last few years with what she produces, her form of “fetish” is something that plants a seed within the human mind and grows into so many wondrous things. This scene she spoke of with Lance Hart and Charlotte Sartre showed an exchange of power, and this aggressive tenderness that I don’t think people even know exists outside the industry. As I learned when I discovered fetish, there is far more to sex than just the beauty you see on the surface. The aggression is made loving with the care that the dominant gives to their submissive. With Charlotte and her husband, I saw a couple whose trust was strong and accepting enough to put their minds into their sexual desire. As I watched, I could not believe what I was seeing: a couple putting some of their deepest parts of their relationship on display for fans to enjoy and being accepting and confident in something they both obviously loved. I cannot say this for sure, but this is the kind of acceptance that takes relationships like theirs to one of marriage. That is the awe that is XXX.

“Most of the people that I want to have be a part of Evolved Fights must be married or have a very deep, lengthy relationship to really make this type of production come to life. You have to have trust and you have to have a drive to want to win and do more.”

Little did Ariel know that a month or so before, I had been on the phone with superstar Dee Williams, and we were talking about this very thing within the industry: BDSM and how people see fetish. Dee spoke about how wonderful it was to work with Evolved Fights and that she would do it again in a heartbeat. That is the type of thing you cherish with a performer in the adult film world. I told Ariel of this conversation as we spoke and what she told me just made my jaw drop even more.

“I love that. I have gotten so many models to come back after doing a match for me who have never done anything wrestling or martial-arts-wise. Some of them were athletic in high school or college. Some of them played soccer, volleyball, or something along those lines in school, something that allowed them to have that competitive edge within themselves. To me, athletes and BDSM go hand-in-hand because you have to have discipline. Wrestling in itself with Evolved Fights is a form of BDSM like I mentioned to you before. You have to accept that there is going to be some impact play. Whether you are getting put onto the mat, or there is somebody’s body applying force to try and keep you down on the ground and win—no matter what, there is going to be something of impact that you will have to endure and figure out in order to win and have the right to fuck and dominate your partner. These former athletes I have worked with come back to me after shooting their first wrestling match, and they are excited to tell me that they signed up for a wrestling or jujitsu school, and it really has transformed their entire life—not just the one that is in the bedroom.”

If that does not say to you what these productions will open up to you, the viewer, then I do not know what will. In many cases, the porn stars of the adult film world are strictly performing, in case you didn’t know. Now, I do not want the fans to think this is a reason to stop watching their favorite films or cease from supporting their favorite stars and companies. This is entertainment though, plain and simple. What I have found within my time in this industry is that there are actually performers who have sex on camera because they love sex, and what you are seeing is more real that anything you will see on reality TV. That is why I felt I had to spotlight Evolved Fights this month for the porn fans of the world. You would not believe how many porn stars told me that when you saw an orgasm onscreen, the most massive and real was with Evolved Fights, and wrestling matches that Ariel X either shot or starred in. What does that say about sexuality? What does that say about us as viewers, performers, lovers, and voyeurs? Let’s ask Ariel about that and what her own view is, shall we?

“The way that I came up with the name Evolved Fights, it was a description of my journey throughout my career in the adult industry. I started out as a fetish model, and like Dee Williams, I started out with just being a submissive. I loved being the submissive, I preferred being the submissive. Channeling different sensations and processing them in a healthy way was another thing that appealed to who I was as a person and a performer. As I was doing more wrestling, more BDSM, I began to change, I began to evolve. Now, I like being the dominant. Now, I like taking control, and getting to take control when I earn it. Being able to out-skill, out-muscle somebody means that I have broken their guard in a certain way, and they know that I can overpower them and that I can make them submit to all that I am, and that is done through what I have put into these wrestling matches. That is something I love about this journey of mine, and that is where everything originated from, including the name of the company.”

Being a fan of this industry, this way of life, and having the confidence I gained from having a new world shown to me, one that exists in between the fine line of what lies on the surface of society and what is beneath it. That is something that you do not have to date a porn star to discover. That is the truth if I could ever tell one to the fans and critics of this industry. Most of my friends will tell you that my favorite catchphrase is, “I learned the real value of what a woman truly is by dating a porn star,” and it has the least bit to do with the fact she has sex for a living, or what she looks like on the outside. The truth of what matters can never be displayed, or more easily understood than with what this independent production company known as Evolved Fights is. It is a place where you can discover for yourself that passion, lust, orgasms, power, and compassion can exist in places that require a thought and emotion, rather than a touch. It is a place where you can discover that your marriage, your relationship, no matter if it is with yourself or another, can always become something more than you ever believed it would be. Where “porn” fits into that mix within all of this is within your mind more than anyplace else, as it has long been a truth that adult films are something enjoyed within the lives of the millions of people who inhabit this planet, whether they admit that or not. It is a company like Evolved Fights and a woman like Ariel X who show so many of these people, especially the one who are over-critical about sex, that the evolution of sex that you can discover here, with adult films and on HotMovies, can become growth to the human species in ways people never thought possible in themselves. There is no other industry in the world that boasts something along those lines that still manages to thrill the person indulging, all while making them feel alive, and most of all accepted.

Ariel X says it best:

“I think that the entire purpose of porn is to represent and be an example of open sexuality by not shaming people for their kinks. Because all of us, whether we want to admit it or not, were a part of sex in some way. All of our moms got fucked! Accept it, embrace it, stop shaming people for it. Since I began in this industry in 2003 I have seen a big shift now in 2020. In the early 2000s, it was embarrassing to be a porn star; everyone was looking to shame you and ‘out’ you. I think that porn has more open support than it ever has before, and equally in return, I see that porn in itself is helping others to be more equally accepting of themselves and the people around them that they once feared. Like the women like me who grew up with five brothers, always wanted to be a boy, and did not want to go out and get her nails done, preferring to be the girl in the mud catching frogs: there is a place for you. I am no expert on gender fluidity, but what I will say is that you do not have to be a genius to see the change that porn has created, and it is a nice thought to know that Evolved Fights can do that for everyone that enjoys it, even if it is only one person. That means I hopefully changed someone’s life for the better, and nothing could be better than that, even if it is only one person’s life that is changed.”
