Rosa Caracciolo began her professional career as an aspiring hair stylist working in a salon. It was at that time that she was discovered by a modeling agency and started working as a model. In her native country of Hungary, she won a local beauty contest. Working at the Miss Hungary competition, she was entered to participate by a friend and—upon discovering the prize was a new car—decided to compete. She won the title of Miss Hungary in that 1990 competition.
Rosa went to work as a hostess during the Cannes Film Festival at the same time Rocco Siffredi was in Cannes promoting his cologne. The two met as she got off the train in France, and the connection was instantaneous. Siffredi was filming his erotic version of The Bodyguard (after the Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner blockbuster) while in Cannes, and ran into the problem of his lead actress withdrawing from the production. He asked Rosa if she would take that role and, under the condition that her only sexual partner be Rocco, she agreed.
Rosa went on to film just over a dozen pornographic films. She only performed with her romantic partner, Siffredi. The two of them wed in 1994. She and Rocco have two sons together, Lorenzo and Leonardo. Rosa retired from pornography in order to raise her sons—both of whom have gone on to model and become involved in photography.
Rosa has kept in the public limelight despite no longer being in front of the camera in porn. She has been profiled by European editions of magazines such as Elle and Vanity Fair. She appeared, with her family, in the five-part Italian reality television show, Casa Siffredi. She also appeared in the documentary, Rocco, about her husband. In January 2022, Rosa was part of Rocco’s campaign for the Italian presidency.
Along with her family, Rosa resides in Budapest. She continues to be somewhat involved in the casting and production of Rocco’s films. Rosa maintains a very active Instagram account that as of June 2022 has over 66,000 followers.
