HM: How did you get your start in the industry?
Abbie Maley: Originally, I got started in the industry because I wanted to fuck James Deen. I actually only thought I would shoot one porno with him and that would be it. I shot it when I was working my “big girl job” as a post production supervisor on mainstream reality and docu-series. I loved shooting so much I shot multiple other times with James then eventually decided to do it full time after I wrapped one of my tv shows!
What was it like meeting and then working with James Deen for the first time?
Meeting him was super interesting. I had a very different idea of how he would be in real life and when I first met him he might have been more nervous than I was. We basically met and then were stuck in a car with each other for the four-hour drive to Vegas (you’re aware if you’ve seen my first video!). I was very nervous meeting him but he was insanely nice and made me laugh a lot. Working with him is the best.. no one will ever fuck me the way he does.
Your Twitter bio contains the line “I can be better.” Tell us how that philosophy fits in with your life and career.
In my life I’m always striving to be the best version of myself and always feel like “I can be better” and I’m trying to be! I used to compare myself a lot to other people. Then I learned I can only be better than myself from yesterday. Truly believe in the quote “comparison is the thief of joy.” How this applies to my career I guess would be similar. I love my job in the porn industry but always feel like I can be shooting better and better content. I always want to be growing in my career and life.
What’s your usual fitness routine?
I train with my personal trainer everyday for about 2 hours. Leg day, chest day, back day, repeat! For a long time I was training by doing low rep heavy weight because I wanted to be a super strong girl. Recently, i’ve decided I look too big and too strong so i’m adding a lot more cardio and doing higher reps and less weight. I’m not going to lie training to look a certain way is a lot less fun then training to be super strong. Either way though the gym is one of the highlights of my day. I love how I feel when i’m done.
According to your Rabbit Reviews interview, you previously worked as a post-production supervisor in mainstream TV. Tell us a little bit more about that!
One of my first jobs when I moved to Los Angeles was a production assistant job at the company that created Jersey Shore. I got promoted from within at that company to development coordinator. It was cool because growing up I ALWAYS wanted to work in tv esp. with reality shows. Eventually I got a job coordinating real shows. Then after that I got promoted to post production supervisor. I loved all the people I met in the tv world, and the experience of having high levels of responsibility, and managing a delivery schedule, and team of people. I got to coordinate/supervise a lot of cool stuff! My favorite being The Detroiters for Comedy Central, and History of Horror for AMC.
Talk about your collaboration with Blacked.
I got to shoot two scenes for Blacked. First one was for Blacked Raw with Rob Piper. That was actually the first time I ever fucked Rob and I had SO MUCH FUN! Then I shot a scene for Blacked with Jason Luv. Both these boys are so fun to fuck, and their giant dicks look really cool next to my face! hahah Working with Blacked is awesome. I love how they do natural hair/makeup and how they styled me for these shoots. I love how the scenes turned out. I hope they’ll shoot me again in the future! What is Mick Blue like as a director and co-star?
Mick is awesome in both of these roles. I knew him for a long time before I actually got to fuck him! So when we finally got our hands on each other I had a really good time! He’s so fun to fuck I hope I get to fuck him more in the future.
What aspect of life as a pornstar do you find most rewarding?

My advice for someone joining the industry would be to not let anyone talk you into doing anything you’re not comfortable. Always only do stuff you want to do, and ignore all the comments from mean people online.

What does a typical day look like for you?
