Barbie Feels stars in an Elegant Angel.

Barbie Feels: A HotMovies Pornstar Interview

If mainstream press coverage is any indication, the new Barbie movie is reviving popular interest in cinema-going. Its impressive cast and multi-layered story have appealed to a wide range of audiences, but there’s one thing that could have powered the movie to even greater success. Namely, casting pornstar Barbie Feels in the title role! Then again, I grew up playing with G.I. Joe and Batman figures, so I may not be the reigning authority on the matter. Either way, I can confidently state that you’ll love our new interview with Feels, a classy British beauty who turned heads in Elegant Angel’s Mother’s Day Indulgence. Discover her unique story, learn what she herself thinks about the Barbie brand, and much more.

HotMovies: According to your Adult DVD Talk interview, you were born in the USA but grew up in Britain. What is the most quintessentially British thing about you? What is the most American thing about you?

Barbie Feels: My love for Marmite on toast and a good cup of tea make me a classic Brit. I also love dark, sarcastic British humor which I miss when conversing socially or watching TV! The most American thing about me is probably how loudly I talk! When I go back home all my English friends think I’m shouting in comparison to them.

Your first name evokes a classic brand and look. What has the Barbie name and brand meant to you over the years?

Like most young girls I loved playing with my Barbie. I’d dress her in different outfits and make her kiss Ken as often as possible haha. The brand represents playful girly fun and now I enjoy dressing up in girly pink sparkly outfits just like I used to dress my Barbie in. The brand has been around for ~60 years and this familiarity makes it so comforting. I still get nostalgic when I see little girls playing with their Barbie!

Tell us about your life before porn.

I worked in tech for the last 11 years so I had a pretty standard 9-5 schedule that started right after I graduated university. I lived a fairly conservative life in my 20s – I was engaged and almost got married six years ago – I thought I was destined to move to the suburbs to have a family, so I never would have guessed that I’d become a sex coach or start doing porn!

Talk a little bit about your experience working with Elegant Angel for Mother’s Day Indulgence.

I love the Elegant Angel crew! It was a really welcoming and professional environment on set which makes the quality of the scene so much better. It was a ton of fun having a British costar [Danny Mountain] to banter with, too. Their social media team are an absolute delight to work with so it was a really enjoyable experience from start to finish.

What shape do you think your porn career would have taken had you begun in your early 20s, as many performers do?

I was pretty shy and insecure in my early 20s so it’s really hard to imagine myself starting porn at that age. I’m so impressed by performers who have the confidence to do so! I certainly wouldn’t have been able to say “no” or establish boundaries like I do now, so I don’t think I would have felt in control of my career which could have caused me to do scenes I really didn’t want to do or that would put me in vulnerable situations.

What can studios and platforms do to improve the overall shooting experience for pornstars?

Having a female on set to liaise with the female talent. We’re often on set with a group of men which means we’re in an incredibly vulnerable position, so I think a lot of girls would feel more comfortable having a female to ask questions to and to balance out the masculine energy. It can be hard asserting our feminine health and hygiene needs amongst men who inherently can’t relate to what our body is going through, so having a woman who could advocate for us would go a long way!

What are the biggest misconceptions people have about long-term non-monogamous relationships?

That non-monogamous couples don’t love their partner enough if they want sex/love from others. I always explain that it’s the opposite – giving your partner the space to fully be themselves and enjoy others sexually is loving all of them more deeply – because you’re accepting their needs outside of you.

How do you create onscreen chemistry with your co-stars?

Chatting ahead of time and establishing a rapport will mean you’re more comfortable with one another once the cameras start rolling. A bit of flirting goes a long way and maintaining eye contact is key for feeling connected to your co-star which will mean better sex!

Tell us how your got your start in sex education.

[Partner] Ken  [Feels] and I have always been non-monogamous and sexually explorative from the start of our relationship. We both learned a lot about ourselves and our needs and the more we explored the more I learnt to love my body and embrace my sexuality with confidence. We wanted to help others do the same – increase their confidence by improving their sex lives and overall happiness as a result. I was still working in tech and started my OnlyFans during the pandemic, so we started training to become sex coaches and we began creating educational poorn for our sex positivity platform via OnlyFans too. We started coaching individuals and couples on how to navigate non-monogamy for the first time as we wanted to share all the lessons we had learned along the way when opening up our own relationship.

Do you have any advice for someone looking to break into the adult industry?

Be firm with what type of work you’re willing to do and don’t feel forced to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.

What’s your favorite type of content to shoot?

I’ve been loving B/G hotwife scenes where my husband sends me a man to satisfy me! It’s an empowering scenario because there are two men pleasing me in different ways which I find really hot. I haven’t shot Girl/Girl yet for any mainstream companies so I’m looking forward to that!

When you’re not working what do you like to do for fun?

On the weekends I love to go dancing! It feels like therapy for me – moving my body to loud music gets my stress out! Even if I’m home I’ll put on some mood lighting and dance around the apartment in a sexy outfit. It’s a great way for me to reconnect to my body, which is also why I love going on walks or taking candlelit bubble baths.

Currently, what are your favorite TV shows, music, movies, books, etc.?

I’m currently reading Shantaram which I’m absolutely loving but it’s taking me a long time because it’s over 900 pages! My favorite book of all time is The Hobbit and I’ve been a JRR Tolkien fan since my early teens. When it comes to TV I LOVE Ted Lasso – it brings me so much joy! It marries English and American culture and humor which I’ve always straddled growing up in the UK with an American father. It’s also really impressive how the show normalizes the conversation around Mental Health. I’m also watching Breaking Bad at the moment for the first time and thoroughly enjoying it.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I savor my mornings! I catch up on messages and social media while I slowly enjoy my cup of coffee. If I’m shooting it takes up the majority of the day, but if I’m not I’m either shooting some content for OnlyFans and social media or coaching clients. I try to make time for my mental health every day which usually means sitting in the garden and meditating in the evening before dinner. I try to eat healthy most days but I definitely like to indulge on the weekends.

Tell us about your fitness routine.

Working out is really important to me – mostly for my mental health and sweating out some stress more than anything – I don’t feel my best self if I’m slow or sluggish. I try to workout five times week and like to mix up strength training with barre or yoga classes. I’m getting better at listening to my body and what it needs – so sometimes that’s not working out or just going for a walk if I need to clear my head.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Our business goal is to normalize the conversation around sex and pleasure and to help people have better sex lives, so in 5 years I hope to be producing inclusive Pleasure-based educational porn that’s easily accessible for audiences.
