With almost 10 years in the game Will Pounder is a vet who has seen and done a lot in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Recently we had the opportunity to catch up with the fun, uber cool, porn star and we covered everything from how he lost a bet and shot his first scene to working with star/director Stormy Daniels and keeping a healthy body and mind.
HotMovies: When did you know you wanted to be an adult performer? How did you then get your start in the adult industry?
Will Pounder: I never actually said I wanted to be a porn star. I was filming a military tv show and a guest porn star was on set and wanted to shoot content. I said “no” because it would mess with my acting career. Instead we made a bet. I lost and went and shot my first scene.
You had a scene this year in Redemption with Laney Grey, directed by Stormy Daniels. How was working with Stormy as director and Laney in the scene? Also, what was it like to have sex in a horse stable? Would you recommend?
Working any feature movie is exhausting and takes a lot of energy from everyone. I personally had a blast filming this movie. Everyone on set had good chemistry and I look forward to the next one.
Do you have any upcoming projects or scenes you’re looking forward to?
I’ve been shooting 1-3 scenes a day almost everyday. Whenever I am asked to perform in a big creative project, I get excited and look forward to doing that type of acting work.
You appeared in a 2019 GQ article, “What It’s Like to Be a Male Porn Star in 2019.” So, what’s changed? What’s it like to be a male porn star in 2023?
Not much has changed aside from the fact that self generated content has given many people alternative avenues of generating income which provides more security and financial freedom. I think performing for studios and self generated content go hand in hand.
Do you think being a performer has made you better in bed? Any techniques you’ve picked up over the years?
Yes 1000% yes, if you wanna know then… Maybe you’ll get lucky and find out 😉
Is there a big gap between a regular guy on the street and an adult performer in terms of their ability in bed?
That’s like asking if a guy off the street has a chance of beating a UFC guy in a fight. It’s cute, but they’re in completely different league.
What’s a typical workload for you like? How frequently are you shooting scenes?
1-3 scenes a day which typically breaks down to 1-2 studio scenes and 1-2 content trades. I take about 1-2 days off a month typically.
Do you have a favorite type of scene to shoot?
I like improv and comedy scenes a lot. Anything where I get a scenario and I can just run with it.
Do you have a favorite position?
Missionary hahaha
Do you have a least favorite type of scene or one you view as the most challenging to perform?
I personally don’t really struggle on any scenes. I find keeping a healthy and clear mind does wonders.
Do you ever get recognized in public? What is that like?
Yes and it’s fun every once in a while. I did get celebrity passes at Universal Studios which was random and super fun!
What do you like to do to unwind at the end of the day?
Workout, read, and watch friends.
