Supporting and advocating for mental health awareness, cooking dinner for friends, and hitting the gym are just the tip of the ice berg when getting to know trans star Kasey Kei. She’s incredibly sweet and down to earth and approaches every shoot with a level of professionalism that ought to be studied. Learn more about her in our recent interview and prepare to be impressed.
HotMovies: What is it like being named as brand ambassador for Pineapple Support?
Kasey Kei: It’s honestly so enriching being able to represent Pineapple Support when I care deeply about mental health. It’s a sad reality that mental health is an aspect of ourselves that’s often neglected. Affordable care is lacking. Conversation is lacking. I’m happy to contribute, especially to the sex worker community, in promoting mental health through Pineapple Support.
What did you do before you joined the industry?
After high school I went to a technical school for makeup artistry. While working as a makeup artist I bopped around from department stores selling makeup and also freelanced on the side. I loved it but my passion is definitely in porn. But who knows maybe a side gig in doing makeup may be in my future again.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Japan! Fun fact; not only am I half Japanese but I was also born there! I moved to the states when I was 5 though and haven’t been back to Japan since I was 20. I’m well overdue and badly want to be back in the culture…especially the food.
Do you have any fun hobbies?
I’m a big gym rat. I have to be at the gym at least 5 days a week weight lifting. I also love to cook! Not very often but I love having friends over and throwing a little dinner party. Also in my leisure I’m often binging anime. Currently watching One Piece.
Tell us about filming your scene with Leilani Li in Trans-Active 23.
That was such a fun scene! It was my first time meeting and working with Leilani and I remember just being in awe of her. Beautiful, charismatic, sensual. She had it all. Also being on set for Joey Silvera, I knew our scene was going to be so hot.
What is your favorite type of content to film?
Quality ones. I love when a scene is intensive. Long scripts. Long days. But when you see a scene where you can tell they really invested in making something beautiful, it just makes it all worth it.
What was it like filming your scene with Asia Belle for Fiery Trans Duos?
It’s funny you ask about that scene. It was my first time working with Trans Angels and it was an eye opening opportunity. I was still very new to filming studio porn and I felt it. Scenes like those though were fundamental in learning and understanding how to do better in the future. It was lovely though working with Asia. She’s such a sweet girl and I’m grateful we were able to share that scene together.
Tell us about shooting your scene for Grooby Clips.
Shooting for Grooby is always so fun! Being on set for Buddy Wood is just so chill and an enjoyable time. I know when I’m going in for a scene with Grooby that I’m going to have a good time.
If you could film a scene with anyone, who would it be?
Maybe this is a cop out but my best friend Khloe Kay. We’ve shot two scenes together now and it’s always just such a fun time shooting the shit on set, just fooling around and having plain old fun. We’re also both talented performers so I know our scene will come out sexy.
What does a typical day look like for you?
My day always starts with a cup of coffee. I leisurely pass my morning waking up. Following that it’s the gym and then lunch. In the afternoon I’ll do some work whether it’s editing, marketing, or shooting content. Then I’m usually prepping for dinner. Cooking is a big part of my day. Post dinner I’ll usually relax, watch tv, then in bed by midnight. I’ll be honest, it’s a pretty lowkey low stress day to day for me.
If you could give advice to anyone looking to join the industry, what would you tell them?
Have professionalism and take your job seriously. Put your best foot forward and work hard. Show up on time and remember that this may be unconventional work but it’s still work. Be a professional.
What is your go-to show/movie?
I mentioned this earlier but One Piece! My bestie, Khloe Kay got me into it after she got me playing the One Piece trading card game competitively. So if I’m playing the card game how can I not watch the anime?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years? You know I’m such a simple person that I don’t have any grand aspirations. I do hope that I continue to achieve more accolades. Perhaps in 5 years I’ll own a house in the city I’ll call my forever home.
